How do I program a video to start playing when the object is selected in Boardmaker Studio?

Select the video button you've created on the page. If you've not created a video button already, select the Video option in the Advanced button in the tool bar and add one.
Click the Content drop-down menu at the top of the Video Properties panel. A file browser will open.
Navigate to the folder on your computer that contains the .wmv, .mp4, or .avi video you want to play and select the video.
Select Open on the file browser. The title of the video you chose will now appear in the Content drop-down menu.

Note: You can also drag a .wmv video file from outside the workspace and drop it into the video object.
