Reading and literacy

"It is important to immerse a child in good, comprehensive literacy instruction from very early on. The use of a full communication system aids literacy instruction, as the child is provided with language for talking about and interacting with books. Predictive text on high-tech devices can encourage children to practice using the alphabet as they are able to listen to what they have typed when they attempt to produce their own words."

Accessible proven instruction

Does your child struggle in the area of reading? Do they understand what they are reading? One of the most important skills to learn is how to read, and individuals with autism might have challenges in developing these skills.  It’s important to have accessible proven instruction that will allow even learners who don’t use their voices to communicate a way to learn how to read and comprehend what they have read.
