The war in Ukraine has naturally made life extremely challenging for Ukrainians, and this is especially true of people with communication disabilities, their caregivers and those from aid organizations working with displaced Ukrainians temporarily living in other countries. To help ease these situations, we have developed a set of free, printable AAC resources, available in Ukrainian with translations to many European languages.

These resources include:

  • a symbol communication board for use at country borders and refugee asylums
  • a medical communication board for use in a medical or hospital setting
  • a school communication board for use in new school settings, to help teachers and students overcome language barriers
  • an illustrated book to help children cope with uncomfortable or scary situations
