Boardmaker Online is an excellent tool for delivering evidence-based instruction and developing the materials your students need for success. In this session, we will explore evidence-based practices (EBPs) for teaching students with disabilities and create activities in Boardmaker Online that follow each EBP discussed. Participants will leave with all materials and activities for immediate implementation in their classrooms and/or therapy.

Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, participants will: 

  • Describe three evidence-based practices for teaching students with disabilities
  • Show an example of a Boardmaker activity that demonstrates each evidence-based practice
  • Design five Boardmaker activities that employ evidence-based practices

Amber Dollar M.Ed, is a seasoned educator and administrator with over twenty years experience in public education. Prior to joining Tobii Dynavox, Amber served in the public schools in numerous roles including teacher, special education coordinator, transition specialist, AT supervisor, and curriculum writer. Now Amber is a Learning Program Manager on the Learning Services team. In this role, she develops and facilitates virtual and on-site learning and creates implementation resources for families and professionals.
