Course Description: In this session, we will review the hardware and software communication solutions from Tobii Dynavox. Beginning with an overview of software solutions, attendees will review a continuum of communication supports for emergent, context dependent, and independent communicators.  Access methods and functionality will be reviewed along with hardware options supporting individuals with complex communication needs. Finally, a review of free implementation strategies will be highlighted within this course.
Learning Objectives:  Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • Identify 2 profile characteristics of an AAC candidate.
  • List one software and one hardware solution for individuals with complex communication needs.
  • Describe one eye gaze access enabled communication solution.
