Training Type: Implementation Workshop

Join us in this workshop as we introduce ideas, curricula and materials that will not only meet the needs of each student but will also make your life easier. We will explore the four implementation pillars for supporting individuals with complex communication and learning needs: education, communication, access, and social/emotional learning.  Participants will use Snap + Core First, Boardmaker, and other resources to develop specific strategies for supporting success within each of the pillars, both for the therapy room and the classroom.  After the workshop you will walk away with practical resources to use immediately.

Learning Outcomes:  Upon successful completion, participants will be able to:

  • Define complex communication and learning
  • List four implementation pillars for supporting students with special needs
  • Describe three resources to support learning, access, communication, and social/emotional development in the classroom or therapy setting
