Looking for activities to maximize student learning? Dive into Boardmaker Activities-to-Go, a collection of free, printable, thematic activities that support K-12 students by building world knowledge and teaching functional life skills. Boardmaker Activities-to-Go can be used to address speech and language goals, support behavior, keep students engaged, build vocabulary and improve literacy. In this course, you will learn how Boardmaker Activities-to-Go can be used to support a classroom of diverse learners by effectively implementing Boardmaker Activities-to-Go. Throughout the course, you will complete a weekly planner to take home so you can get started immediately. In addition, you will practice using Boardmaker Online to extend activities found in Boardmaker Activities-to-Go.

Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, participants will be able to:

·        Describe how the activities and supports in Boardmaker Activities-to-Go can be used to support a classroom of diverse learners

·        Describe five teaching tips for effectively implementing Boardmaker Activities-to-Go

·        Complete a weekly planner using Boardmaker Activities-to-Go

·        Use Boardmaker Online to extend learning opportunities

Presenter: Amber Dollar

Amber Dollar M.Ed, is a seasoned educator and administrator with over twenty years experience in public education. Prior to joining Tobii Dynavox, Amber served in the public schools in numerous roles including teacher, special education coordinator, transition specialist, AT supervisor, and curriculum writer. Now Amber is a Learning Program Manager on the Learning Services team. In this role, she develops and facilitates virtual and on-site learning and creates implementation resources for families and professionals.
