Training Type: Tobii Dynavox Learning Lounge Session
This session will review the Project Core implementation model and how the available training, tools and resources can be applied to Tobii Dynavox technology and related communication apps. The implementation model is geared towards classroom teachers and students of all ages who are not yet using speech, sign language or symbols to communicate in flexible ways. The implementation model uses a Universal Core vocabulary and applies evidence-based practices for teaching communication during common academic routines and daily activities. Case examples will be shared and time for questions and discussion will be provided. Project Core (project-core.com) is a Stepping-Up Technology Implementation Grant, directed by the Center for Literacy and Disability Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and funded through the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs.
