Training Type: Implementation Workshop
Course Description: This implementation-based workshop will begin by reviewing the technical and functional aspects of eye tracking technology and various Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) language systems for the emergent communicator. AAC communication language organization and page set options successfully supported by eye gaze access method will be identified. Finally, communication partner strategies to support successful participation and interaction will be reviewed.
Learning Outcomes: (1) Identify two AAC language options or communication page sets that can be used with eye tracking. (2) State two communication partner strategies for successful communication with gaze interaction technology. (3) Identify three key technical features that make eye tracking technology successful.
