Training Type: Implementation Workshop
Course Description: This implementation-based workshop will focus on the emergent communicator and how we can best provide supports and strategies that help realize their communication potential. Participants will review the stages of pre-intentional and intentional communication as well as low and high tech AAC communication supports with the goal of moving our emergent communicators toward symbolic communication.
Presenter: Lindsey Frohn, M.S., CCC-SLP. Lindsey has worked in a rehabilitation hospital for over 6 years as a pediatric speech-language pathologist. While working with a wide variety of diagnoses and disorders, she developed a passion for AAC to increase her patients' abilities to communication successfully. She is presently a member of the Learning Services Team at Tobii Dynavox where she develops and conducts internal and customer trainings, creates implementation resources and presents at conferences about AAC topics.

Presenter: Lindsey Frohn
Lindsey worked in a rehabilitation hospital for over six years as a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) before joining Tobii Dynavox. While working with a wide variety of diagnoses and disorders, she developed a passion for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to increase her patients’ abilities to communicate successfully. Lindsey is presently a Learning Consultant with the Learning Services team at Tobii Dynavox. In this role, she develops and facilitates internal and external customer training and implementation resources. Lindsey also presents at local, national, and international conferences about AAC topics.
