The Tobii Dynavox Discovery Lab uses lecture and case studies to LEARN about communication, access and
education solutions for students with complex needs. You will then make your way through 3 interactive lab
stations and DO guided hands‐on activities. Opportunities to APPLY your knowledge in practical ways will be
provided. You'll leave the session with a handful of resources and practical tips that can be used the very next

8:30 - 9:00 am Registration
9:00 - 10:30 am Communication, access and education solutions for students with complex needs
10:30 – 10:45 am Break
10:45 – 11:45 am Discovery Lab rotations – hands, eyes and experience with products and software
11:45 – 12:00 pm Closing/Questions and Answers/Next Steps

Presenter: Courtney Grant

Courtney Grant graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester with a Bachelor’s of Science in Communciation Sciences and Disorders. She then went on to pursue her Master’s degree in Mild to Moderate Disabilities. After 3 years of teaching speech and special education in the school setting, Courtney left the education field to purse AAC at Toby Churchill before moving to Dynavox. Courtney has been with Tobii Dynavox since August 2013 as an AAC consultant in Western and Central NY.
