Training Type: Discovery Lab
Description:
The Tobii Dynavox Discovery Lab uses lecture and case studies to LEARN about communication, access and education solutions for students with complex needs. You will then make your way through 3 interactive lab stations and DO guided hands-on activities. Opportunities to APPLY your knowledge in practical ways will be provided. And you'll leave the session with a handful of resources and practical tips that can be used the very next day!
Sample event schedule- requirement is 3.5 hours
1:00 – 1:30 Registration
1:30 – 3:00 Communication, access and education solutions for students with complex needs
3:00 – 3:15 Break
3:15 – 4:45 Discovery Lab rotations – hands, eyes and experience with products and software exploring & learning!
4:45 – 5:00 Closing/Questions and Answers/Next Steps

Presenter: Leigh Cooley
Leigh Cooley, has prior experience as an educator assistant in elementary & intermediate special education, where she spent 8 years specializing in the implementation of AAC. After joining Tobii Dynavox in 2016, Leigh spent two years as a regional consultant working with clients ranging in age from infant to geriatric. Currently, Leigh is on the Training and Implementation Team at Tobii Dynavox where she develops and conducts internal and customer trainings, creates implementation resources, and presents at local, national and international conferences about AAC topics.
