Evaluating communication solutions for individuals with progressive diseases varies based on the stage of communicative loss. This session, lead by Adina Bradshaw, will cover aspects of a comprehensive AAC evaluation, educating the patient and family, and implementation strategies.

Adina Bradshaw is a Speech Language Pathologist and Assistive Technology Specialist at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Adina received her B.S. Ed and M.S. in Speech Pathology from Miami University. Prior to joining the Shepherd Center, Adina worked in public school districts and private practice settings providing speech therapy to individuals of all ages. Adina has over 15 years of experience evaluating and implementing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices. She is licensed by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and Georgia Board of Speech Pathologists. She also holds a Georgia teaching certificate. In 2012, Adina became a RESNA certified Assistive Technology Professional. Adina’s professional focus is on adapting and developing assistive technology solutions to aid individuals in their ability to communicate and complete activities of daily living more effectively.
